2nd-5th Grade Students have been busy programming Dash in the Media Center. Our first lesson focused on learning how to code Dash using the Blockly app, a drag and drop coding tool developed by Google. Students programmed Dash to drive on a grid to designated spots and added animations, sounds and lights. Our second lesson uses Dash Challenge Cards which bring coding to life through hands-on challenges. K and 1st Grade Students researched Famous African American using PebbleGo to celebrate Black History Month. They shared what they learned by making Biography Pyramids. We will also use PebbleGo to learn about plants in the month of March and students will plant seeds in the Discovery Lab which will then be transferred to our school garden after Spring Break. I can't wait to see all of the pretty plants and flowers! The 5th Grade BookTalk Club has been busy reading GA Children's Book Award Nominees and creating BookTalks to get others excited to read these excellent books! Click Here to see all of the BookTalks that have been created so far by the 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade BookTalk Clubs! Upcoming Events in the Media Center:
