Welcome back to a new school year--hope you had a wonderful summer and read a lot of books! We will be starting out Media Center Lessons with Digital Citizenship for 2nd-5th grades! Kindergarten and 1st grade will start out with lessons on how to take care of library books.
Guidelines for book checkout:
Kindergarten students: 1 book 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students: 2 books 4th & 5th grade students: 3 books Students need to return overdue books before additional books can be checked out, the checkout period is for two weeks. If a book is damaged or lost, it is expected that the book will be paid for or the book will be replaced with a new hardback book.
Get ready for our Scholastic Book Fair! Our Book Fair Preview will be the week of September 7th-9th and our family event will take place the evening of September 9th during the K-2nd grade Ice Cream Social from 4:30-6:30 PM!! Books will be sold during school hours September 12th-15th and closing at noon on the 16th! FYI, Scholastic has made a change in their tax policy and, unfortunately will be charging taxes on books sold this year. The theme for the Book Fair is “Bolder, Prouder, Stronger Readers.” Here are a couple of videos to get excited about the Book Fair!
