We have been busy in the Media Center building with Keva Planks and Legos! K-2nd read the book The Three Little Pigs and the Somewhat Bad Wolf and built sturdy structures that the Big Bad Wolf (me) tried to blow down! Students added accessories such as a pool, garden, different ways to keep the wolf out, etc. 3rd Grade is participating in the NCAA Read to the Final Four Contest since the NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament will be held in Atlanta. Dolvin 3rd Graders are reading books on a digital platform called myON and are in 1st place in their bracket and we have 6 readers in the top 10! Keep Reading 3rd Graders, we are so proud of you! 4th and 5th Grade Students also used Keva Planks to build a tower based on the book Really, Rapunzel Needed a Haircut: the Story of Rapunzel, as told by Dame Gothel. Two students from each team also made a parachute and the group made up a story about who jumped off the tower and what happened to them. There were some very creative stories! We had 12 students participate in the Fulton County Technology Competition! I will know the results on Friday and will post here if any of our students placed! Thanks for all of your hard work. Here are pictures of the students that I was able to catch at the competition. Please help you students be 100% Accountable and have them check for overdue books in their classrooms, backpacks and at home and have them return them before break. Thanks!
